How to use the PNG to JPG Converter

  1. Add your PNGs

Drop .png files on the box, or tap Choose images. Up to 50 at a time.

  2. Set the quality

92% looks identical for most images. Lower it for even smaller files.

  3. Download

Save each JPG, download them all as a ZIP, or on a phone save or share them from the share sheet.

Why turn PNGs into JPGs?

PNG stores every pixel exactly, which makes photos saved as PNG very large. Many upload forms, email providers and websites have size limits, and some only accept JPG. Converting photos to JPG cuts the size dramatically while looking the same at normal viewing size.

When to keep PNG

Not every PNG should become a JPG. Keep PNG for screenshots with text, logos, diagrams and anything with a transparent background: JPG blurs sharp edges slightly and fills transparent areas with white. For photos, JPG is the right choice.

Smaller still: WebP

If the images are going on a website, WebP is smaller than JPG at the same quality and keeps transparency. Switch the format to WebP above the drop zone, or use the JPG to WebP converter for existing JPGs.

Frequently asked questions

Is this converter free to use online?

Yes: free, no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. It runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

What happens to a transparent background?

JPG can't store transparency, so transparent areas become white. If you need to keep transparency, stay with PNG or convert to WebP instead.

How do I convert PNG to JPG on iPhone?

Open this page in Safari, tap Choose images, pick the PNGs from Photos or Files, then save the JPGs back to Photos or download a ZIP.

How do I convert PNG to JPG on Mac?

Open the PNG in Preview, choose File, Export, and pick JPEG. For several files at once, drop them all on this page and download one ZIP.

How much smaller will the JPG be?

Photos saved as PNG often get 3 to 6 times smaller as JPG. Screenshots with text and flat colors shrink less and can look slightly soft; PNG is the better format for those.
